Graduate Certificate in Professional Accountancy

The Graduate Certificate program is geared for those students who have already earned their undergraduate degree. The Tennessee State Board of Accountancy weights graduate courses with a 50% premium, so a 3-hour graduate course counts as 4.5 hours toward your 150-hour requirement. Thus, the student who earns a 132-hour undergraduate degree and the 12-hour Graduate Certificate (which counts as 18-hours for the CPA exam) would have the 150-hours needed to sit for the CPA Exam in Tennessee.
